Water conservation scheduled June 1 to September 30

Effective June 1, 2024, and pursuant to the City of Trail Waterworks Bylaw, water use conservation measures are in place for residents and businesses in all areas of City of Trail as follows:

• Lawn watering is permitted only on odd numbered days for odd numbered premises and even numbered days for even numbered premises.
• Conventional lawn watering, typically a garden hose and sprinkler head, is permitted only during the hours of 6:00am to 10:00am and 6:00pm to 10:00pm on your designated day.

Trail Memorial Centre parking lot entrance upgrades

Beginning Monday June 3rd, the City will be improving the Trail Memorial Centre (TMC) parking lot entrance apron. The work is anticipated to be completed by Friday June 7th. Crews and equipment will be on site during this period. Please be aware and use extra caution while in the parking lot.

The City of Trail has established two select committees: the Trail Regional Airport Advisory Committee and the Official Community Plan (OCP) Advisory Committee. Notice of intent to dispose of city-owned property 801 Rossland Avenue

The City of Trail hereby gives notice pursuant to section 26 and 94 of the Community Charter of the intention to dispose of land that is not being made available to the public for acquisition.

The land to be disposed of is the City of Trail lands located at 801 Rossland Avenue legally described as Lot A, District Lots 230 and 1073, Plan NEP79246, Kootenay District, PID 026-453-410, as shown outlined in the map below.

Daniel Street realignment project moves forward

Construction contract awarded to Marwest for substantial project

City of Trail has contracted Marwest Industries Ltd. to conduct construction activities between 2031 and 2217 Daniel Street. Work will begin on Monday, April 8, 2024 and reach substantial completion on or before October 15, 2024. The contract administrator for the project is WSP Canada.

There will be traffic and parking restrictions in effect throughout the project timeline.
